a filthy affair, this business of living

3 Aug

he was ill at ease with his feces

the way it ruled his life

the way he caved in to it’s demands

the way it just lay there stinking

an insult to his dignity

a filthy business, this business of living

full of embarrassment and shame

not at all what he had wanted

in his most secret of dreams

he was ill at ease with his urine

spilling out at inopportune times

spoiling his day with it’s reminder

he was a human after all

what a shock this must be

to his imaginary playmates

a filthy affair, this business of living

full of nauseating sights and smells

and disgusting imperfections

not a world fit for a super hero

a lousy dirty world

so ashamed to be human

it made him very ill at ease
