it’s cold, cold, cold, cold!

3 Jan

if it weren’t for the pay

and the thought of the day

i’d be lying in the grand lady’s arms

i would gladly go back

to living out of a sack

back to when no women would have me

’cause it’s cold, yes it’s cold

and i’m older each time you remind me

it’s cold, cold, cold, cold!

out here on the sickening sea

with a bunch of guys who are always disguised

as every kind of creepy thing you could imagine

i long for the kiss and caress of the girl

who gave of herself so gladly

but i belong to the dark empress of the night

with the scorpion upon her cheek

and the dragon upon her thigh

living in a old and beautiful mansion

i owe her money and i owe her time

and it’s cold, cold, cold, cold!

as i stand on this ship

where the air i breath is like ice

and the money is never enough

with monkeys to my left

and tigers to my right
