grumpy poem

30 Dec

go on home you grumpy old man

we have no more use for you here

we don’t like your frown

and your silence is like a death

for which we don’t wish to be reminded

go on home to your cat

if you can remember what it’s at

we have no wish to tolerate your twaddle

we need a swift quip and dance to dazzle

even if you’re worn down to a frazzle

i am only being nice when i say

go home and slowly prepare your grave

i know you’re not able to be truly alive

after so many brain cells have died
