everything adds up to nothing

18 Jan

when it comes down to the wire

that wire everybody trips over

that wire that nobody sees

everything adds up to nothing

because that great calculator in the sky

needs batteries

nothing from nothing leaves nothing

but we can always pretend

there is no wire

there are no numbers

only wishes upon ponies

prancing in and out of the rainbows

no point at all

to this poem

i can afford this luxury

so far from the imaginary wire
